First Thoughts about the Workshop and hang out with colleagues:
The hangout is a new experience
in my life. I have never used it before. However, after talking with Lan who is
the moderator of our group, I was really impressed and began to know the more
about the importance of using technology for teaching.
The actual challenge till now is
that we cannot meet together at the same time. I even left a message to my
group on Yammer to ask them when we can hang out. I have not got an answer till
now.
I have not talked a lot with Lan
but I found out that she is very helpful and she is ready to help me with
answering any question. She is really cooperative.

ReplyDeleteI appreciate the way you have nicely laid out the issues around the 'global meeting'. Time differences in the day are certainly a big impediment to working through a group effort Our group is trying to get around this by using Goggle Docs to log our ideas. Our common 'working document' is placed on Google Drive and has been shared with all the group members. Each one has edit privileges.
At the end of the day, the last person in - which we had decided upfront would be me - consolidated the thoughts and updated the course goggle document on behalf of the team. The person to consolidate will be assigned by rotation. Also, we decided the cut-off time upfront so every one in the group was aware of the deadline. It worked out rather well for the last group assignment we submitted - on networking tools.
